General Practitioners

BRUCE GREENFIELD

Dr Greenfield commenced practice in Rices Mall, Howick in October 1972.  He moved to 4 Picton Street in 1979 and established Crawford Medical Centre in what was formally the Crawford's family home.  Initially this was as a solo practitioner using only the front of the building.  The practice has steadily grown since,  and now includes seven doctors. Dr Greenfield has two adult sons, and his wife Sandra is actively involved in practice activities. Golf is his main sporting interest.

 

 

LINLEY MURRAY

Dr Murray is a general practitioner in the truest sense, which is exactly what you want from your family doctor. She is qualified with a MBChB, FRNZCGP and a Diploma in Community Emergency Medicine, and she has worked at Crawford Medical Centre for twenty years.


 

LORRAINE FORBES

Dr Lorraine Forbes, MBChB (First Class Honours), FRNZCGP, works in all aspects of general practice, with the exception of maternity shared care.  She was born and brought up in Zimbabwe, and studied at the University of Cape Town Medical School.  Lorraine has worked at Crawford Medical Centre since she arrived in New Zealand in 1993

 

JAMES LIN

Dr James Lin has practised medicine in Taiwan and New Zealand.  Fluent in English, Taiwanese and Mandarin, Dr Lin has worked in New Zealand for four years and has completed the general practitioners programme. He focuses on community health.

 

 

DR MOHAMMAD RAHMAN

Dr Mohammed Rahman was born in Bangladesh, graduated from Dhaka University in 1992, and came to New Zealand in 1995. He worked in different specialties in all three Auckland hospitals until 2005, when he started general practice.  Dr Rahman is married with children and enjoys watching rugby and other sports.

 

   

 

   
 
Dr Graham Witney BHB. MB.Ch.B

Dr Witney has been a familiar face in the Howick area working locally as a GP for nearly twenty years. He graduated from Auckland University and has had five years training in general surgery.  Although Graham enjoys all aspects of general practice, his special interests are minor surgery and health promotion.

He and his wife Andrea have three teenage children. In his spare time Graham enjoys mountain biking and boating.


Dr Renee Greenman

 MB,bCH,FRNZCGP is a South African trained doctor who has held GP positions in the Bay of Plenty and several areas in Auckland before coming to Crawford Medical Centre.

Her areas of special interest are Paediatrics, Dermatology and Psychology.

Her other interests include Cast Glass making and Outdoor Adventure activities. (kayaking, tramping, and mountain climbing.)
